Rachel Melvald has over 15 years of experience working with infants, children, adults, couples and families. In her training at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor outpatient and inpatient settings, the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, as a licensed psychotherapist, Rachel developed her practice in a family systems-psychodynamic framework. With her additional certification in Somatic-Experiencing, Jungian Studies and the Gottman Method, she further specialized in trauma recovery and couples therapy. Now focusing on coaching and consultation services, her aim is to take a methodological and goal -oriental approach to support individuals and couples to achieve life, home and career satisfaction with measurable results.
She has multiple licenses and certifications, however, she is acting in a non-licensed capacity as a coach and is not providing services as a licensed social worker or psychotherapist.

Coaching
Individual Coaching– I use a goal-oriented approach to break through stuck patterns to form healthier habits and to optimize personal, relational, and career goals. Specializing in stress-reduction, health and wellness, creativity and productivity my aim is to not only reduce distress but to support self-actualization.
Relationship Coaching– With the highly lauded Gottman method based on research, my relationship coaching is a structured approach using concrete skill-building techniques to not only reduce conflict but to achieve more harmonious personal and professional relationships.
My specialization in reconciling design challenges in design, home buying, and remodeling positions me to mediate and support an individual, couple, or design team to not ensure positive outcomes.
