“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are”
– Carl Jung
I am a practicing Psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience working with infants, children, adults, couples, and families.
In my training at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor outpatient and inpatient settings, I have developed my practice in a family systems-psychodynamic framework.
During my 13 years of work with the Department of Mental Health, I have become familiar with the organizational system’s impact on the mental health of my clients. My further training in Infant Mental Health and Attachment models further influenced my therapy practice to treat my clients in the developmental trajectory through an object-relations lens.
My certification in Somatic Experiencing has further enhanced my practice to treat acute and chronic and developmental trauma. My certification as a Kundalini Yoga teacher and as a REIKI energy healer allows me to further incorporate body and energy work into this realization process. I am also trained in mindfulness and use guided imagery to unlock unconscious blocks. I recently completed a Jungian Studies certification with the Jung Institute of Los Angeles as I can incorporate dream and imagery into the therapeutic process. I access the spiritual self in how a client wishes to define it for themselves.
I specialize in self-esteem, encouraging positive self-growth to help clients actualize life goals both personally and professionally. With my combined experience in studying fine art and architecture, I continue to specialize in working with clients who want to improve the exterior of the physical self and one’s own environment while staying focused on healing the inner life. I am currently specializing in couples therapy with a unique niche of issues of remodels, interior design and real estate.

CINEMATHERAPY
Movies affect us powerfully because the combined impact of music, dialogue, lighting, camera angles, and sound effects enables a film to bypass ordinary defensive censors in us. They draw us into the viewing experience, but at the same time – often more easily than in real life – afford a unique opportunity to retain a perspective outside the experience, the observer’s view.
Cinema Therapy takes advantage of a movie’s impact and teaches watching films with conscious awareness. Like dream work, inquiries into emotional responses to movies open a window to our soul.
